Day 02
Kandy
Head to Kandy and en route stop by Chilaw to witness the ancient temples of Mannarwari and Munneswaram. These well-known Hindu temples honour Lord Shiva and are revered as sacred sites of pilgrimage. Take a quick city tour of Kandy after you arrive and see the cultural highlights of the historic sites the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic and the stunning Kandy Lake.
Day 03
Nuwara Eliya
Preserve your spiritual experience and head to Nuwara Eliya sometimes known as Little England. Significant Hindu pilgrimage sites known as Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil and Seetha Amman Kovil are associated with the epic Ramayana.
Day 04
Bandarawela
Travel from Nuwara Eliya to Bandarawela a hill village encircled by misty mountains and lush tea plantations. Explore the peaceful Hindu shrine of Gayathri Peedam which honours the goddess Gayathri and Divurumpola the location where Sita is said to have met Agni Pariksha in the Ramayana.
Day 05
Kataragama
Visit Ella, a charming city renowned for its rushing waterfalls and gorgeous surroundings. See the impressive 80-metre-tall Ravana Falls and the fascinating Ravana Caves which are believed to be the demon King Ravana's hiding place from the Ramayana tale. Proceed to Kataragama once you have had time to admire all of the beauty. Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists all revere this incredibly large sacred site.
Day 06
Galle
Experience the spiritual atmosphere of Kataragama, and go to the well-known Lord Murugan temple. Investigate Ussangoda's many coastal locations which are thought to be Hanuman's supposed landing site during his search for Sita. Next, visit the Rumassala Temple in Galle, the Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa and the Sri Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo.
